How it began
Our Story

It started with a single glance across a crowded room in Florence — and neither of us quite looked away.
Emma and James first met at an architecture conference in the summer of 2019. James, a structural engineer, was presenting his research on sustainable design. Emma, a landscape architect, had arrived late and taken the last empty seat — which happened to be right next to him.
By the end of the afternoon they had missed two presentations, shared one espresso, and exchanged numbers on the back of a conference programme that Emma still keeps in her desk drawer.
Four years, countless adventures, and one very nervous question at sunset on the Amalfi Coast later — here we are.
